If they ignore basic questions or reply with copy pasted text, I become suspicious. On the other hand, a well made pair of glasses can last a long time and feel comfortable all day. I do not trust only the star rating, I like to see detailed photos and longer comments.

Sometimes one good quality item is better than five very cheap ones. For daily use items I try to balance price, build quality and real user feedback. Sometimes a store looks great in ads but the real product is completely different. People who share height and weight information make it easier to choose the right size. Good stitching usually means the item will not fall apart after one or two washes. Cheap frames can look nice at first but bend easily or become loose after a few weeks. Of course shipping delays can happen, but good communication reduces stress. Whenever I find something that actually works well, I tend to reorder it later.
